The Roman Catholic church of Ss. Peter and Paul was designed by E. W Pugin.
The foundation stone was laid on August 15, 1859. The church was opened for worship on June 29, 1864.

The Diocese of Cork and Ross has begun the process of restructuring into Families of Parishes.

The Parishes of Ss. Peter and Paul’s, St. Patrick, St. Finbarr, Blackpool - The Glen - Ballyvolane, Sunday’s Well, & the Cathedral constitute a Family of Parishes.

    Paddy runs the Parish Office and oversees the Parish Registers.
    Records pertaining to the reception of the sacraments may be procured during office Hours (10:00 — 14:00) on weekdays (except Tuesday).

  • Mass Cards
  • Mass Cards are signed in the sacristy, before or after Mass, and from 3pm.
    Alternatively, the contact form or the email correspondence may be used.
    A Mass stipend of €10.00 will suffice as an offering to cover the Mass intention. The stipend goes directly to the officiating priest.

    The celebration of the Eucharist is an action of Christ himself and of the Church (CIC. 899)…In accordance with the approved custom of the Church, any priest who celebrates or concelebrates a Mass may accept an offering to apply the Mass for a specific intention (CIC. 945)…The faithful who make an offering so that Mass can be celebrated for their intention, contribute to the good of the Church, and by that offering they share in the Church’s concern for the support of its ministers and its activities (CIC. 946).
